Piazza Affari and the rest of the Old World's financial markets are falling
(Teleborsa) - The index of Piazza Afrika and the other major European stock exchanges are all negative.Investors weighed the possible consequences of new trade tensions linked to Greenland, as US President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on some European countries citing the agreement with NATO.The last day of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos ended today.
On the macro front, advance Purchasing Managers' Indexes (PMIs) for January are expected in the United States, while those for the Eurozone are out.Eurozone manufacturing PMI increased to 49.4 points from 48.8 points previously, with a forecast of 49.1 points;services PMI fell to 51.9 from 52.4 in December with a consensus of 52.6;The composite PMI came in at 51.5 points, unchanged from last year and slightly below expectations of 51.6 points.
The euro/US dollar is fundamentally stable and stands at 1.174.Gold continues the session at the levels of the previous day, reporting a change of -0.09%.Rain of purchases on oil (Light Sweet Crude Oil), which shows an increase of 1.98%.
From the previous day's level, the spread remained at +61bp, and the 10-year BTP yield stood at 3.49%.
Among the European markets, Frankfurt remained unchanged, London remained close to parity (+ 0.10%), and moderate agreement for Paris, which decreased by 0.33%.
